1. Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you submit our waitlist form. This may include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Service address (optional) — used to determine service availability in your area
- Selected service plan
- Any message or notes you include in the form
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited. This information is collected through standard server logs and analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:
- To add you to our service waitlist and notify you when service becomes available in your area
- To contact you about your waitlist status, service updates, and promotional offers related to TrashCanMan™
- To respond to inquiries or messages you send us
- To improve our website, service offerings, and customer experience
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3. How We Store Your Information
Waitlist submissions are stored in a secured database hosted on Manus infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Access to the database is restricted to authorized personnel of Trash Can Man, LLC only.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or until you request deletion. If you request removal from our waitlist, we will delete your record within 30 days.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use caution when submitting personal information online.
5. Property Owner Claims
If you submit a Property Owner Oversight claim, we collect the address you identify as yours and associate it with your account. We cross-reference the address you provide against publicly available county tax-assessor parcel records, where available, solely to display an informational ownership self-check to you at the time of your claim. This cross-reference is not shared with any third party and is used only for this feature.
Claims are reviewed manually by TrashCanMan™ staff before any oversight access is granted. A pending or rejected claim never exposes any service information to the claimant.
If you are a paying TrashCanMan™ subscriber, please note: a verified property owner claiming your service address can see only whether service is currently active and a recent history of cart placement, return, and missing-cart events. Your name, phone number, email address, payment method, and subscription or billing details are never shared with a property owner claimant, whether their claim is verified or not.
Property claim records are retained under the same terms described in How We Store Your Information and may be deleted on request per Your Rights and Choices.
